TGIF

So it’s Friday, thank you Lord!!!!

Guess what I’ve discovered?  White wine spritzers!  LOL!  A little white wine and some Cranapple juice equals yummy 🙂

Do you know what I hate?  Car repair people that try to get one over on you.  We dropped my van off yesterday, told them our two issues, asked them to look at it and then call us and give us an estimate.  We waited all day long and they never called.  Finally my husband went up there at 5:30 to see what was going on.  The mechanic comes out and gives this spiel about how his guys are very thorough and they are going to get this back on the road the way it should be,  meaning they want to service the transmission and do a tune up in addition to the two other issues we have.  He can’t give us a breakdown on what each individual thing is but the bottom line is almost $2000.  Hello???  My transmission is fine and I don’t need a tune up and I certainly didn’t ask you to look at either of those things.  So how would I trust these people when they tell me I need to replace the onboard computer when we’ve been told that usually they need to go in and clear out the memory, as this is a known issue with this make and model?  I was not impressed with these people at all.  This is the car dealership, which we usually use because we trusted them,  but they’ve changed ownership and all the shop guys are new.  Needless to say, we won’t use them again.  Now yesterday they couldn’t be bothered to call us all all but by 9:30 they were calling us wanting to know when we would be bringing the vehicle back in so they can start the repairs.  LOL!  How ’bout never?  Does that work for you??

I hope you all have a great week-end.  You would not believe the weather here….it’s in the low 80’s!  How awesome is that??

I could go for some low eighties.

We have a car that needs some repair…I’m not sure what we are going to do yet. We don’t know anyone that we trust to work on it, but we are going to have to find someone.

It’s always difficult to find a god trustworthy mechanic – and once you do, you need to stick to them like glue. I would never use that othere one again – its horrible feeling you’ve been ripped off!

Your best best is to ask everyone you know who is local, who they reccomend and see if you get the same name several times over.

We ended up taking the van into a guy that’s been around here forever and that we’ve actually used before and he looked it over, free of charge, and said that the one issue that the dealership was telling us had to be totally replaced, didn’t need to be fixed at all. He tightened a screw and said that may or may not have been our problem but it absolutely didn’t need to be replaced or even repaired.

And of course the entire day that the dealership had the van they never called us like we asked. We ended up picking it up that night because we needed it to take the kids to school and had no intention of letting them do anything with it anyway. Friday morning they called twice before noon wanting to know when we would be bringing it in LOL. Great customer service they have going on up there.

If I had known you didn’t know about white wine spritzers, I would have told you much earlier! They have saved the day on more than one occasion. Try out Peach Nectar and Champagne while you are at it…
